Plain-language terms for sales and reservations through nicolabeger.com. This is a working template adapted to Belgian and EU distance-selling rules. Have it reviewed by a legal professional before you rely on it.

These terms apply to every order and reservation made through this website, and to any piece bought or commissioned from the atelier. By placing an order or reservation you accept them.
Most work is one of a kind, a numbered edition, or made to order. Each piece is built by hand from existing or found material. Small variations in colour, grain and finish are part of the work, and marks that come from a material's earlier life are intentional, not defects.
Prices are shown in euro and include Belgian VAT where it applies. Delivery is not included unless stated. See Shipping & Returns.
Payment is handled through ThriveCart. An order is confirmed once payment (or a reservation deposit) is received and you get a confirmation by email. I may decline or cancel an order if a piece is no longer available, in which case you're refunded in full.
As a consumer buying at a distance you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of a finished, in-stock piece, without giving a reason, starting the day you receive it. To withdraw, email me within that period. You return the piece unused and in its original condition; the cost of return is yours. I refund within 14 days of receiving it back.
The 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to pieces that are made to order, personalised, or commissioned to your specification (for example a piece built in a finish you chose, or a reservation of a piece still being made). This follows the exception in Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. The voluntary 14-day deposit cancellation in section 6 still applies to those.
Consumers have the legal guarantee of conformity of two years under Belgian and EU law. This covers a fault present at delivery. It does not cover normal wear, damage from misuse, or the intentional marks and variations described in section 3.
Collection from the atelier in Antwerp is free, by appointment. Delivery and shipping are quoted per piece on request. See Shipping & Returns.
I take care that every piece is structurally sound and properly finished. Beyond the legal guarantee, I'm not liable for normal wear, for damage caused by misuse or unsuitable placement, or for indirect loss.
If a reserved piece can't be completed for reasons on my side, you receive a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit.
Belgian law applies. If we can't resolve something directly, as a consumer you can turn to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (consumerombudsman.be) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
