Nicola Beger as a child, painting

I'm Nicola Beger. German roots, based in Antwerp. I grew up between my father's workshop and my mother's paint. Our hallway at home was pure Hundertwasser, colour on every surface, made by hand before I could reach the top of the wall.

This started at the kitchen table, not at an academy.

I work from my own atelier now, alone and by hand. Every piece is redesigned in structure and colour. I take found and existing furniture apart, fix what is broken, rebuild what is weak, and bring it back with a finish that survives daily use.

Colour is a structural decision here. It sets the hierarchy of a piece and changes how the room reads around it. It is never a safe accent on a neutral base.

My standard is a real redesign of form, structure and finish. Never a cosmetic repaint. Solid material knowledge sits under all of it: how veneer moves, where glue fails, why MDF and multiplex behave differently, and what a 2K polyurethane finish will and won't forgive.

What I make is sold as numbered, signed work, or built to order for one specific space. Both come with the same care and the same finish.
